if you have good technique and have potential to go much lower, then forget about game improvement set, and go with compact cavity back irons, like cg red. They are not very workable, but not so forgiving either. i would recommend mizuno mp 60 or 57, ping i10, cg red (or cg2-much cheaper), or taylormade tour burner irons.

If you are still undecided….I would hit them on a launch monitor…..the data will tell you which ones you hit the best. Otherwise….go with your feel…..you’re the one that is going to be hitting them….not us

see your local P G A .Pro and have the clubs of your choice fitted to your requirements.its well worth the effort.and the input and advice he will give will save you a great deal of money, if you get i wrong remember you may play your clubs for a few years ,even if you are not a member of a golf club the Club Pro will still be more than willing to help .the advice you can get from a PRO is far better than Any advice you will get elsewhere.and he might let you try some clubs to get the feel.better than just looking .
Hope this helps

go with the ping irons because they are more forgiving for a higher handicap golfer
