  1. I found a huge list of golf courses in every state. I’m sure if you called one of the courses they would be able to help you. http://www.tipsonplayinggolf.com

  2. If you have one by you, go to golf galaxy. The one by me, at least, has a video lesson thing. During this you simply hit into a net, while a camera records you swing. The pro and you look at your swing and see what your doing wrong. It worked for me

  3. Go with your local pro, but you have to stick with lessons, don’t take just one or two… I suggest go every other week for 4 months and practice a couple times a week. golf is a tough sport so you have to put the time in.

  4. Before spending any cash use free resources to check out your fundementals. You could do that online or through any decent coaching book.
Take the time to check, grip, stance, alignment and posture.
If you are like me one of the above is no longer as it should be and the swing goes from bad to worse. Many times compensating for fundementals and causing further issues.

  5. Something really basic that helped me improve my golf swing was to video tape myself swinging away at the local driving range. I was able to go back to the videos later on and watch them in slow motion. You would be surprised what you can notice when you watch these videos. I was able to isolate specific aspects of my swing which needed work and then go back to the range to try and improve them. I did this for a few weeks and noticed drastic improvements. I also uploaded some of the videos to some Golf Forums on the internet, folks on these forums are usually very helpful and I got quite a few pointers. If you want to look at some guides try the Simple Golf Swing Guide http://tiny.cc/2xxPV It really helped me overcome some of my own bad habits.

    Good Luck

  6. Golf tec and golf lesson places are there to rip you off. They will only teach you 50% of you swing fixes to goad you into buying a more expensive lesson package.

Did you know its PGA Free Lesson Month?!

Try a 10 minute lesson with a bunch of teachers in your area and you’ll soon find a teacher that fits your learning style and isn’t trying to rip you off.

Don’t bother video taping yourself. Do you do your own surgeries or remove your own tumors? Then why would you diagnose your own swing?

Try one lesson practice and fix and then take another lesson. Do not do lessons where you just take 5 lessons in a row.

If the instructor is not willing to do a trial lesson, then they’re NOT worth going to.
