Its weird, however i seem to keep a square clubface on my backswing, but my swing plane is across the line. Please help with a drill to overcome closing the face on the halfway back, or some advice please!!!

Judging by this question and your previous one….you have some wierd things going on in your swing……I suggest you visit a Pro and get a lesson or 2 to see what is actually causing your problem…..There are just too many variables that could be causing this.
sounds like adjusting your hold on the club (with your right hand, assuming your right handed) outta fix it
im sorry i can’t actually see your swing and try and help, but for the most part adjusting your right hand slightly, and keeping a firm wrist helps swinging issues
as my old coach would say, you gotta keep your pimp hand strong
lol quite a funny way to describe fixing a swing
I just did a search on Golf Medic’s site and it came up with these drills:

Hope they help you!
You have the club on plane half way back in the swing and to keep it on plane the rest of the way you must continue to turn the club back. It sounds like you may stop your turn and complete your back swing by lifting the club into position which will put it across the line. You can hit a solid shot from this position but you must first drop the club into the slot to make it possible to hit the ball from an inside swing path. Try to work on a complete turn and allow your arms to follow along the plane on the way back.
A good thing to try is to forget about halfway back and try to become a late setter of the golf club. Let it happen gradually a lotta good player including Jack Nicklaus set the golf club about 3/4 in the backswing.
The hands must play an active roll really just forget about them and let it happen.
Without really seeing your swing i cannot tell if you have areal flaw so what i suggest you try what i have said about late setting it may help you.
go to a golf course get a lesson
