  1. I got alot out of this. I am sure that it will help me get my game to the next level.

  2. I’ve read both of Stan Utley’s other books, “The Art of the Short Game” and “The Art of Putting”. This book covers, in less detail, many of the concepts he discusses in those books. If you were to buy only one of the 3, this would be the one. As I mentioned, though, I have all three, and find each beneficial.

  3. When I asked a teaching pro friend about help with my short game he said, “Go get Stan Utley’s books on putting and the short game. You will always refer to them.” I did and have been going to them for 3 years. I believe they are the best references available on 100 yards and in.

I saw this book was available, bought it and read it. If you want help with your short game, run and get both The Art of Putting and The Art of the Short Game. Absorb them. Then get this book. The other two books are absolute musts. This one is helpful after you have read the other two books.
    Rating: 3 / 5

  4. I own Stan Utley’s first two books, on Putting and the Short-Game. When I saw he had a new book coming out I knew I needed to get it. Why? Utley wants us to play golf instinctively and spontaneously. He constantly talks about accessing natural talent. There’s nothing mechanical or rigid about his style.

I read the Art of Scoring quickly and like what I see. Sure there is some repetition here but I’ve found it helpful. The sand-shot technique he endorses is particularly worthwile.
