Cool analysis, never thought about the push/pull aspect in the takeaway.

Stricker clearly reworked his swing to have these dynamics and I think his focus was on repeatability. #2 in Fedex cup points speaks for itself as does his consistent repeating action, one that translates across all his shots from tee to shot game.
Johnny Miller got my attention and many others by hinting strongly that many viewers ought to take a strong look at Stricker’s action. I have no idea what the “rotary swing” is, but I do know Stricker has what we all seek- beautiful consistency.

kbkesq,
His consistency is a real testament to his work ethic and athletic ability. If you have no idea what rotary swing is, you should go to the website and watch some of the videos.

The only problem I ever had with the rotary swing is that I always pulled my arms inside too fast, my arms always immediately followed my upper torso rotation and my weight remained far too centered, something I do not want.

samimalmstrom, your arms don’t move across the body in RST, just vertically while the body controls the turn. That keeps the arms in front where you want them.
