Hammer Man Lavery Golf Swing

This clip of the revolutionary golf swing of Hammer Man Lavery is seen from different angles. His backswing is the shortest one in the golf world in relation to the distance achieved. The reason that the ball can be launched at such high angles with low backspin rates has to do with the swing weight of the club. The driver weighs in at G8. Hammer uses the forces of gravity as well as centifugal force to drive the ball. Because the club is extremely heavy the short backswing works well because the club is brought back to a very light position. (When golfers try to swing this club and get the parallel postion of the shaft to the ground it is too heavy to move). From here the hips begin to slide as the right foot pushes hard off the ground. Then the hips rotate. This utilizes ground forces. There is quite a bit of momentum going into the ball strike. Because the right hand comes off the club just after the ball strike the post hit arc is greater than normal and allows for the club to stay on the target line longer than a conventional swing. The extremely heavy driver head causes a greater lag and it is very evident as the shaft flexes and the club head lags. Looking at the slow motion segments really confirms the sling shot effect that the Hammer gets when he strikes the ball with his revolutionary technique. Read his book called Whole Brain Power and learn some of the secrets of becoming a great ball striker.

  1. That’s a very athletic move, but how does it work when the ball isn’t teed up?

  2. It still works extremely well when I use my 3 or 5 wood on a lower tee. My technique works well with my irons too. I have lots of video showing my methods. Thanks for your comment. Hammer
